The biblical quote is: “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.” We are all clients and consumers. We know how we like to be treated. We love being shown courtesy and respect, we appreciate being acknowledged, and we want to be heard when there’s a problem. When working with clients, it’s incredibly valuable to bring your humanity to the table.

It takes very little effort to be kind to someone, to thank them for their business, and to correct a wrong should difficulties arise. Data shows that the reason consumers switch companies is due to a lack of customer service. One report stated that U.S. companies lost $41 Billion dollars from frustration around this issue.

Whatever the situation, make sure you’re doing right by your clients and good things are bound to happen.
